Songwriting Mentorship Session

Songs are composed of music, melody and lyrics. Where do you start? Or perhaps you’ve already started 50 songs and none of them are finished. Or maybe you feel like you’ve phoned in a couple sections and that you’re selling the song short, but you love the original idea? I come from a family of songwriters and I myself have been professionally writing (by way of “important people” putting my name on a contract) for over 20 years. That said, perhaps all I’m good at is keeping the listener interested for 3 to 4 seconds out of their busy lives. Thankfully, I’m not too jaded to see and hear a good song in the making and I live for the creative process. I’d love to be a sounding board for your music or just help you make sense of what you’re trying to say. I like to ask questions and present possibilities, but I don’t believe in killing the messenger or interjecting my opinions, unless you ask. The muse speaks quietly and it’s your muse.
